We recommend that children should attend nursery for a minimum of three sessions per week. We believe this is very important in helping your child to settle more easily and to gain the full benefit of the Montessori environment.
Norfolk County Council continues to fund all eligible two, three and four year olds, beginning the term after the child’s third birthday. In total 38 weeks can be claimed each year. The year is usually divided into 3 terms (Autumn, Spring, Summer) and terms will vary in length. During the 38 weeks all eligible children can claim up to a maximum of 15 funded hours per week.
Government funding is intended to cover the cost to deliver 15 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare only. It is not intended to cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours or additional services. If you do not wish for your child to have meals at nursery, food may be brought in from home, in line with our food policy, and no additional fee will be charged.
Funded hours are embedded within our morning and afternoon sessions in order to incorporate the Montessori work-cycle. We believe by following the Montessori philosophy each child is offered a child-centred experience where their interests are challenged and extended to acquire knowledge, explore and investigate. The free entitlement will be delivered consistently so that all children accessing any of the free entitlement will receive the same quality and access to provision, regardless of whether they opt to pay for optional hours, services, meals or consumables. Children who are eligible will receive their first 15 hours funded. Our current hourly rate of £5.10 will be deducted for a total of 15 hours (see Session price above). The entitlement is offered free. Parents will not be charged a ‘top-up’ fee to recoup the difference between the amount received from the Local Authority and the current hourly rate.
The nursery does not currently offer the 30 funded hour entitlement.
A registration fee of £15.00 is charged once a childcare place has been offered. This is voluntary for those families whose child(ren) only access the funding entitlement.
A deposit of £60.00 is charged once a childcare place has been offered. This is refundable when your child leaves the setting.
Late fee: £22.00 per 15 minutes.
Childcare vouchers: We accept employer childcare voucher schemes, including tax-free childcare.
Invoices and payments: Invoices are sent out during the last week prior to the beginning of each month. Your invoice will show the amount due. Where eligible, Early Years funding will already have been deducted. Payment is due by the eighth day of the month. Payments can be made by cheque or BACS.
Overdue accounts: Accounts not settled within 7 days will be deemed overdue and we reserve the right to charge a late payment interest of 4% above the base rate. Failure to pay will result in your child’s place being withdrawn with immediate permanent effect.
