Little Peoples Montessori Nursery is a small city Montessori nursery providing education and care for children aged 2-5 years. At Little Peoples Montessori we aim to create a homely, stimulating environment, where your child’s natural curiosity and willingness to learn will help them on their educational path. This will provide a foundation from which future opportunities and interests will grow.
It is an important part of the Montessori method to provide a homely environment for the children. With this in mind, St Pauls Hall provides a dedicated building with a large open plan classroom. There is access to two large outside areas which allow for free flow.
We appreciate that for families with young children, flexibility is key and we are able to offer full time or part-time sessions to suit your needs.
In line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum the nursery follows a Montessori curriculum using traditional Montessori materials which are found on the shelves. These materials support the child’s emerging independence, concentration and individual interests and ability.
Meal times form an important part of the day at our nursery, both for ensuring the children have the food they need to be able to work, play and grow and for the opportunity for personal and social development. We source our meat from Harvey’s organic butchers and our produce locally and where possible organic. Throughout the day, the children enjoy a range of nutritionally balanced meals freshly prepared on site. A range of fruit is on offer for the children to have as they require. Milk and water are always available.
Meals and snacks are provided throughout the day:
- Breakfast: Cereal and toast with milk and water.
- Lunchtime : A hot meal is provided each lunchtime. Click to view an example lunch menu
- Teatime : Sandwiches, Cake, Yogurts and Fruit. Click to view an example tea menu
